The University of Nevada, Reno, in close collaboration with Nevada System of Higher Education institutions, is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Northern Nevada Diversity Summit. This event celebrates thirteen years of engaging faculty, staff, students and community members in the statewide sharing of information relevant to educating and ensuring the workforce readiness of all Nevada’s citizens. The Summit also serves to showcase private and public sector advancements that are direct outgrowths of teaching, learning, research and professional training being performed across all NSHE institutions.

Proposal submissions are now open for the 2026 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit, taking place April 16–17, 2026 at the University of Nevada, Reno. We welcome proposals from faculty, staff, students, higher education leaders, and community partners across sectors who are advancing ideas and strategies that strengthen workforce readiness and opportunity across Nevada.

Deadline Extended: Proposals will now be accepted through Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Sponsorship Opportunities

As the Northern Nevada Diversity Summit enters its thirteenth year, the event continues to bring together faculty, staff, students, employers, nonprofit leaders, and community partners to share ideas and strategies that strengthen Nevada’s workforce and expand opportunity across the state.

Organizations are invited to support this statewide convening through sponsorship. Sponsorship provides an opportunity to connect with a broad cross-sector audience while demonstrating a commitment to education, workforce readiness, and community impact across Nevada.

Student Awards

The University of Nevada, Reno Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion invites students to participate in the 2026 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit and indicate their interest in being considered for the Student Impact Awards and the Student Speech Awards.

The Student Impact Awards and the Student Speech Awards showcase the ways students contribute to advancing inclusive excellence, strengthening communities, and preparing Nevada’s future workforce. Through research, engagement, collaboration, and public dialogue, students help translate ideas about belonging, opportunity, and access into meaningful impact across our institutions and communities.
