STUDENT IMPACT AWARDS

Students who submit a proposal for the 2026 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit may also request consideration for one of the Student Impact Awards by completing the Student Impact Award Request for Consideration form. Selected award recipients will be recognized during the 2026 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit.

AWARD TIMELINE

SUMMIT PROPOSAL DEADLINE
 

March 11, 2026

Deadline to submit proposals for Day One and Day Two of the Northern Nevada Diversity Summit. Students must submit a proposal to be eligible for consideration for a Student Impact Award.

REQUEST FOR CONSIDERATION FORM DEADLINE

March 20, 2026

Deadline to submit the Student Impact Award Request for Consideration form. Students interested in being considered for an award must complete the form available at the bottom of this page.

AWARD ANNOUNCEMENTS
AT SUMMIT

April 16-17, 2026

Student Impact Award recipients will be recognized and announced during the Northern Nevada Diversity Summit.

ELIGIBILITY FOR AWARD CONSIDERATION

Students must:

  • Submit or be included on a proposal for the 2026 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit

  • Complete the Student Impact Award Request for Consideration form linked below

  • Be enrolled at a Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institution during the Spring 2026 semester

AWARD CATEGORIES

Innovation in Action | Research Impact Award

The Research Impact Award recognizes a student who approaches research as both a foundation for professional growth and a catalyst for lasting community impact. 

Pathways with Purpose | Engagement Impact Award

The Engagement Impact Award recognizes a student who actively fosters connections between campus and community, creates spaces of belonging and access, and addresses community- and system-level challenges that limit workforce access and opportunity.   

Connection Catalyst | Community Partnership Impact Award

The Community Partnership Impact Award recognizes a student who intentionally builds partnerships that support both their professional development and the goals of the partnering organization.

In recognition of the reciprocal nature of this work, the partnering organization will also be acknowledged for its role in mentoring and working collaboratively with students to support workforce readiness and opportunity in our community

RECOGNITION AND AWARDS

Student Impact Awards

Students who submit a proposal for the 2026 Northern Nevada Diversity Summit may request consideration for one of three Student Impact Awards recognizing leadership, research, engagement, and community partnership that strengthen opportunity and workforce development across Nevada.

Three students will be selected to receive a $1,000 award and will be recognized during the Northern Nevada Diversity Summit.
